Slide Show

ANGACOM Highlights:

  • DOCSIS 3.1
  • Intel – PPT
  • FDX was a big topic
  • R-PHY and it’s reality – interoperability
  • Big Data – how to manage all the content with DOCSIS 3.1
  • Orchestration

Questions:

  • A watcher is really interested in the topic of  – Low Latency with AQM in DOCSIS 3.1. We are going to need to see if there is an expert we can get with to discuss this issue.
  • Do you have any examples of forward carrier affecting a return path due to poor termination? Is common path distortion the same thing?  We have four bonded upstream carriers and sometimes when I look it looks like a big old fat QAM right under the four carriers raising the noise floor up.  I’m a lowly tech and in a debate with a recently new maintenance tech about what termination means. He’s thinking where terminators are. I’m thinking it’s any connection secured  be it be seizure screw, mainline connectors or amp module not tightened down.
